In case you hadn’t heard, The Shoe Hive team is rather smitten with the athleisure brand Nesh NYC. With everything from oversized cashmere sweaters to perfectly cut dresses, a bestseller for us thus far has been the torn leggings available in a variety of styles and colors.
We are not the only ones who can’t get enough of this look. Model of the Moment Gigi Hadid was spotted in Nesh a few weeks ago. This is proof positive not only that we should all have a pair but also that these leggings can be worn as easily with fur and a concert tee at the airport as they can with your favorite Lululemon top in the yoga studio.
When the stylists at DC Style Factory approached us for pieces that would work for a 13-page Neo-Victorian-themed spread in Northern Virginia Magazine, we were equally excited and at a loss. Neo-Victorian? Maybe in the dead of winter, but in mid-July we really didn’t have much to contribute. We sent along photos of shoes, jewelry and clothing that we hoped would work and were pleased when a selection of our Lulu Frost necklaces were pulled. Especially when we learned they would be layered over an Alexander McQueen tunic!
Apparently, we weren’t the only ones who were short on Neo-Victorian-inspired pieces–DC Style Factory initially had too many black and white looks and in an effort to diversify the spread chose to have two pieces custom made.
Including this truly stunning gorgeous velvet full-length skirt by TSALT whose headquarters just happens to be on our same block.
Putting together a spread of this breadth is an impressive feat, and we are indeed impressed with the results. To see the complete spread pick up this month’s issue of Northern Virginia Magazine!
